Ursula, our friend

Created by Lesley 4 years ago

We taught with Ursula in the late 70s, at Northfields First School in West Ealing.  All the staff could see Ursula’s commitment to each child and admired her knowledge and expertise as a teacher.  It was clear that she really cared about each child, as well as his/her family.  The staff became great friends at Northfields, which closed in 1981.

So we established a group – ONSA (Old Northfields Staff Association) and met at least once per year at one of our houses.  Ursula always provided such lovely food – far too much, she was so generous!  We had great chats at these reunions and it was a lovely time together.  Gradually friends moved away, but a few of us have been able to meet ever since, for over 35 years!

The last few reunions have been at Ursula’s beautiful bungalow still with a lovely lunch and far too much!  They were such special times and we will treasure them and remember our times together with a smile. Cheers, Ursula!
