Memories of Aunty Ursula

Created by Rachel 4 years ago
I wanted to say how proud Aunty Ursula was of John and Mark, not just that they had successful careers and wonderful families of their own, but also that they looked after her so well, and were so attentive to her needs. She talked about the family all the time to me, especially about the grandchildren (and later on the great-grandchildren). She would tell me about how Rabinder had taken her clothes shopping (usually for some event, like a wedding, or tea at the Palace), or about her latest holiday with John and family, or about how happy Mark was when he retired from his job, or what Peter, Joseph and James, and Aaron and Nathan were up to. Later on she'd tell me about Otto's latest visit and show me pictures. The family was central to her life, and I think that she felt very blessed to have such loving sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her bungalow was full of pictures of them all, and they were never far from her mind.
